Mexico approves 38 products based on cannabis

The Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) has released 38 services and products containing cannabis, away from which 21 are vitamin supplements, nine are aesthetic services and products, six are foods, and two are natural services and products (hemp oils), none of which induce mind-altering effects.

The commissioner Julio Sanchez y Tepoz informed that, when the directions to manage this specific industry had been founded, the organization received an overall total of 43 demands, away from which 38 came across all demands and didn’t exceed 1% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) amounts, that will be the main psychoactive substance present in cannabis.
